Step-by-step protocol

Step 1Set up bare-bottom QT tank with sponge filter (NEVER carbon - binds copper)

Step 2Match QT salinity + temperature to display

Step 3Acclimate fish to QT via 60-90min drip

Step 4Dose copper to therapeutic level over 24-48 hours (gradual)

Step 5Test copper level 2x weekly with Hanna or Seachem MultiTest Copper

Step 6Maintain therapeutic level for 21-30 days

Step 7Treat any flukes/worms with PraziPro days 14-21

Step 8After 30 days symptom-free: 50% water change to remove copper, transfer to display
