How it works
The matcher uses a weighted scoring algorithm. Each disease has 3-7 hallmark symptoms; the match score is the percentage of your ticked symptoms that overlap with that disease's profile, weighted by how distinctive each symptom is. Generic symptoms (loss of appetite) score lower than distinctive ones (gold dust sheen).
The top match is a starting point, not a diagnosis. Always cross-check with our disease database and consult an aquatic veterinarian for valuable fish.
