About this apistogramma color form

The Orange Flash strain is a domesticated color line of the cockatoo dwarf cichlid featuring intense orange in the dorsal, anal, and caudal fins of dominant males. Bred over decades in European and Asian fish farms.

Care notes

pH 6.0-7.5, GH 4-12, KH 1-6, temperature 76-82°F. Soft water improves fry survival rates but is not strictly required. 20-gallon long for a single male + 2-3 females. Provide caves (coconut shells, ceramic caves) for spawning.
