F. gardneri tolerates a wide range of water parameters: pH 6.0-7.5, GH 4-15, temperature 70-78°F. Will breed in most planted setups. Locality codes matter for breeders - never mix localities in the same breeding tank or you destroy the genetic integrity prized by AKA registry standards.
