T. duboisi (the white-spotted Tropheus) Maswa locality features a wide white band on a deep blue-black body. Juveniles are pure black with brilliant white pearl spots that fade as the fish matures.
T. duboisi is generally considered the easiest Tropheus species to keep - slightly less aggressive than T. moorii varieties and slightly more parameter-tolerant. Same Lake Tanganyika water profile applies. Group of 8-12 minimum.
