$1 STARTING BIDS ANTI-SNIPE PROXY BIDDING BUYER PROTECTED

Coral auctions online. Bids from $1.

Live frag auctions across the Fast Aquatics vendor network. SPS, LPS, soft coral, zoanthids, and named cultivars - all under the same 4-hour DOA window and carrier-tracked Buyer Protection that backs fixed-price listings. No "as-is" sales.

Why Fast Aquatics for coral auctions?

Most online coral auction sites are reef-only marketplaces with one-line item descriptions and as-is shipping. Fast Aquatics is the unified marketplace for live aquatics. You get auction-format buying inside a platform that backs every win with Buyer Protection, vendor trust scoring, and the same climate-aware shipping that protects fixed-price orders.

Anti-snipe extension

If a bid lands in the last 60 seconds, the close auto-extends by 2 minutes. Repeats until bidding stops. No bot-stolen lots.

Proxy bidding

Set a max. The system bids the minimum increment for you up to that ceiling. Other bidders never see your max.

Carrier-tracked Buyer Protection

Every winning bid covered by the 4-hour DOA window. Photo evidence + carrier scan = claim approval.

Vendor Trust Score on every lot

0-100 composite score (DOA performance, claim response, satisfaction) on every auction card. Bid with eyes open.

Reserve prices & buy-it-now

Vendors can set a hidden reserve and an optional BIN. First buyer to hit BIN ends the auction immediately.

Watchlist + 1-hour alerts

Star any lot, get an email 1 hour before close - and the moment you're outbid.

Anti-shill bidding

We track every bidder's IP address, login location, and account-creation history. Bidders sharing a network with the vendor, brand-new accounts that only bid on one vendor, and suspicious last-second bid escalations are auto-flagged. Confirmed shill bidders are banned and the auction voided. Vendors caught running shill networks lose their account.

Coral auctions FAQ

Where can I bid on live coral auctions online?

Fast Aquatics runs live coral auctions across our vetted vendor network. Bids start at $1, anti-snipe extends the close by 2 minutes if a bid lands in the final 60 seconds, and every winning bid is covered by carrier-tracked Buyer Protection with a 4-hour DOA window.

Are coral auctions covered by Buyer Protection?

Yes. Auction wins on Fast Aquatics are not "as-is." Every order ships under the same 4-hour DOA claim window as fixed-price listings. Buyers submit photo evidence (sealed bag, closeup, label visible on the box) within 4 hours of carrier-reported delivery; approved claims pay full refund or replacement on the next available shipment.

How does anti-snipe protection work?

If a bid is placed in the last 60 seconds before close, the auction auto-extends by 2 minutes. The extension repeats until bidding actually stops. This stops last-second bots from stealing lots from real bidders.

What's the difference between proxy bidding and buy-it-now?

Proxy bidding lets you set a maximum and the system bids the minimum increment for you up to that ceiling. Buy-it-now is an optional fixed price the vendor sets - first buyer to hit it wins immediately and ends the auction.

How does Fast Aquatics prevent shill bidding?

Shill bidding (a vendor or their friends pushing up the price on their own listings) is the #1 trust problem in online coral auctions. We fight it with three layers: (1) every bid is logged with IP address, browser fingerprint, and approximate login location; (2) accounts that share an IP, household, or city-level location with the vendor are blocked from bidding on that vendor's listings; (3) suspicious patterns - brand-new accounts only bidding on one vendor, last-second bid escalations from vendor-adjacent accounts, abandoned cart histories - get auto-flagged for review. Confirmed shill bids are voided, the bidder is banned, and the vendor caught running shill networks loses their account permanently.

What if I don't pay within 24 hours of winning?

Unpaid winning bids are forfeit after 24 hours. The vendor can offer the lot to the next-highest bidder or relist. Repeat unpaid wins result in account suspension - we're protecting vendors from time-wasters.

Can vendors set a reserve price?

Yes. Vendors can set a hidden reserve. If the high bid doesn't meet the reserve at close, the lot doesn't sell - no obligation either way. Bidders see "Reserve not met" once a bid is placed but the reserve amount stays hidden.

What types of coral show up in auctions?

SPS (Acropora, Montipora, Stylophora), LPS (torch, hammer, chalice, brain, frogspawn), soft corals and zoanthids, plus rare named cultivars (Walt Disney, Pink Lemonade, Wyoming White, JF Wolverine). Anemones and high-value invertebrates run on the auction format too.
