Blue CatfishIctalurus furcatus

The biggest catfish in North America - fish over 100 lbs are documented in southern reservoirs. Blue catfish are stocked into private trophy ponds (5+ acres minimum recommended) by anglers who want to grow oversized cats. Slower-growing than channels but reach significantly larger adult sizes. Banned or regulated in some states where they've been introduced and disrupted river ecosystems (TX has restrictions in some watersheds).
