Anubias is the easiest aquatic plant genus. Slow-growing rhizome plant that attaches to wood/stone (no substrate needed), thrives at low light (30-50 PAR) without CO2, and is completely fish-proof - even cichlids leave Anubias alone. The genus includes A. nana, A. barteri (and var. nana, var. broad leaf), A. congensis, A. hastifolia, A. heterophylla, A. nangi, and the prized A. pinto.
